After years of being focused on the external world, my own soul journey led me to seek the Inner World and begin to sing and dance to my own song. Through these disciplines, the balanced and harmonious integration of the mind, body and spirit resulted in the relief of physical symptoms, the erasure of lifetimes of karma and the restoration of a peaceful state of mind.

PAST LIFE REGRESSION
Past Life Regression (PLR) is the mental act of going back to an earlier time, whenever that time may be, in order to retrieve memories of the soul’s journey from other lifetimes on earth or other planes of existence. As your guide on this exciting journey, I use hypnosis, guided imagery and relaxation techniques. Using hypnotherapy in these special ways enhances your ability to access the subconscious level of mind. REIKI (pronounced Ray-Key) is a non-directive method of healing steeped in the ancient healing traditions of Tibet, Egypt, and India. REIKI utilizes Universal Life Force Energy also know at Prana, Chi, Mana, Bioplasmic Energy, Holy Spirit,and Magnetic Energy to name a few.This Universal Life Force Energy is believed to be the same energy that Jesus and the Buddha used to heal the sick. The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words - Rei and Ki, meaning universal life energy. The term "reiki" is used to describe both the energy and the Usui system of using it. The two combined together mean enlightenment. They represent the spirit of the universal coming together with within us. This life force energy animates and sustains all life. Although Reiki is not a religion, it is a spiritual and enlightenment system of personal transformation.

The original meaning of the Sanskrit symbols used in the Reiki system of healing were channeled through Mikao Usui, a mystic and Japanese Master of the Healing Arts in the early 1900’s. It is an healing art that is passed from Master to student. It can be considered form of chakra healing and a variation of laying-on of hands. The Reiki healing energy is not limited by space and time so it can also be channeled to another in a location separate from the practitioner by method that is called Long Distance Healing.

Reiki works simultaneously on emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual "levels" without limitations. Reiki speeds the physical healing process and balances the body's energy. Reiki also heals emotional pain, and to promote spiritual clarity. Since the Reiki energy passes through the practitioner and then to the client, loved ones, or pets, the practitioner experiences the benefits as well as the person receiving the Reiki healing energy. Reiki can be channeled in conjunction with and to enhance other healing modalities such as massage therapy, crystal therapy, hypnotherapy, yoga, and more. It also amplifies all intuitive arts and sciences.

My personal experience of Reiki is that it is simply Universal Love, Light and sound. Most of my students share this realization. The Reiki symbols are simultaneously mantras and mandalas. By focusing my attention on the symbols, I am able to step outside myself. This allows me to be in touch with Universal Love for my client or loved one, and all of creation. When my heart opens to this truth, I become a clear channel for the healing energies of Love or Reiki. This is something that each one of us is capable of doing. To open our hearts to another is to become powerful channels for healing. We are all healers and Love or Reiki is our teacher.


HISTORY OF REIKI BY MRS. TAKATA:
Ms. Takata brought Reiki to the West.
Dr. Usui was teaching in a Christian university called Doshisha University in Kyoto in the mid 1800's. His students began to ask him if he believed that Jesus' could heal as in the bible. When he replied that he did, they asked him to perform such healing so they might believe as well. Dr. Usui did not know how to heal. He began to question church leaders, who also did not know how this was accomplished. So he set out on a quest to learn of these methods. As the story goes, he traveled through Japan, China, studied at the University of Chicago Divinity School and eventually came back to Japan.

According to the story, Usui had failed to find this great healing and so Dr. Usui climbed Mt. Kurama for a 21 day meditation and fasting ritual. At the end of the 21 days when Usui was about to leave, he saw a great light approaching him from the distance. He was fearful, but he stayed. The light struck him in the forehead (third eye) . This knocked him unconscious, but upon awakening, he saw millions of small glowing bubbles and the Reiki symbols were shown individually to him. The meaning and application of each Reiki symbol was then apparent to him.

Dr. Usui was then supposed to have healed his toe on the way down the mountain, as well as a girl, and then eaten a full meal after a 21 day fast. He began healing beggars in the slums of Kyoto. He found that those that he had healed would return again for treatment of the same illnesses. Usui found that many of these people held their illnesses and disease because they served them as useful. These people preferred to live with their illness because they were cared for by others, and various other reasons. It was then that Usui felt that treatment must include not only the physical, but also the emotional and spiritual. Usui also decided not to do Reiki for free after this, and that some form of energy exchange must occur.

It is taught that this system was passed on down to his chosen successor, Mr. Chujiro Hayashi who became the next "Grand Master" of reiki. It is also taught that this mantle of "Grand Mastership" was passed to Mrs. Takata, which was passed onto her grand daughter Mrs. Phyllis Furumoto. It should be noted that Takata Sensei did not ever refer to herself as "Grand Master", this was something that some of Takata Sensei's students did and was perpetuated into a belief and dogma in the early practices of the Reiki Alliance circa 1982-1983.
